The brand-new album The Napoli Sessions is out now. After previous journeys to Mexico City, Ramallah, Tehran, and Johannesburg, musician Thomas No\u00ebl now brings the project The City\u2019s Song to Naples. Together with a fellow musician, a filmmaker, and a photographer, he explores the city through encounters with local artists and poets, creating a contemporary musical and visual portrait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The southern Italian metropolis is captured in all its contrasts: beauty alongside chaos, mysticism alongside noise. Belgian and Neapolitan musicians weave traditional folk music with contemporary rhythms and jazz influences, the spiritual roots of the tarantella allow room for improvisation and solo passages.
