Reynaert is the new solo programme by folk guitarist Jeroen Knapen, one of the leading DADGAD guitarists active in a variety of ensembles. Drawing on more than twenty years of stage experience, he now presents a deeply personal performance in which music and storytelling come together. 

Inspired by the medieval beast epic Van den vos Reynaerde, Jeroen has composed new music and arranged historical repertoire to accompany a selection of scenes from the story. Through his lyrical playing style and strong sense of melody, he brings Reynaert’s world to life in sound—at times playful and ironic, at others dark and deeply moving. Audiences are invited into an intimate solo concert with the acoustic guitar at its heart, where every note encourages them to listen, dream, and simply enjoy the moment.
