Wouter Vandenabeele is taking his project Chansons pour les oiseaux qui ne savent pas voler on tour to China in early December. Together with kora player Bao Sissoko and guitarist Jeroen Knapen, he will be performing concerts in Beijing, Dalian, Chongqing, and Chengdu.
The Chansons series, now consisting of four albums with ever-changing lineups, is a collection of musical paintings: simple, melancholic, and introspective. Wouter paints a world without borders of land or genre, where culture flows seamlessly across boundaries.
