For a new edition of The City’s Song, pianist and composer Thomas Noël dives into the heart of Naples – a city full of contrasts. Beauty meets noise, chaos blends with mysticism. Together with a richly composed collective of Flemish and Italian artists, he paints a vibrant portrait through music and imagery.
On stage are Neapolitan musicians Emiliano Della Giovanna on drums, flutist and singer Mimmo Magniolico, guitarist Roberto Trenca, bassist Marta Ricardi, and singer/percussionist Carmine D’Aniello, joined by Ghent-based musicians Thomas Noël and Wouter Vandenabeele. The visual dimension is brought to life by photographers Sammy Van Cauteren and Silvio Siciliano and filmmaker Firas Al Halak.
This summer, this passionate ensemble ignites stages from Brussels to Naples. Come autumn, they journey through Flanders – carrying a brand-new album and a world of sound. Siete i benvenuti ad ascoltare!
