Stan Nieuwenhuis will be in residence at Rataplan in Antwerp in early August to further develop his new solo performance, Etudes for Cornet & Electronics. During the residency, he will not only continue working on new music under his artist name Stann, but also bring the visual side of the performance further to life.

Together with Monique François (concept & design), Daan Van Cauteren (creative coding), Geert Custers (lighting design) and Bart Fierens (design MIDI controller), he is developing a scenography in which music, light and visuals are closely intertwined. Across seven panels, projections and video mapping respond live to the music, creating a dynamic interplay between sound and image. The result is an immersive experience in which composition, technology and visual art continuously interact and reinforce one another.
