Ananta Roosens
Ananta Roosens is a violinist, trumpeter and composer currently living in Brussels. She is one of the founders of La Sieste Du Dromadaire with whom she recorded the album 'Tango from a dromedary point of view' in 2013 with special guests Gerardo Jerez Le Cam and Iacob Maciuca for the recordings.

Ananta Roosens is a violinist, trumpeter and composer. Over the years her instrumentation has expanded and she has immersed herself in a variety of styles.

She studied classical music and applied herself to Argentine tango.
During her studies she founded the group La Sieste du Dromadaire. A group whose style is somewhere between tango, classical music and jazz. For several years, Ananta has also been immersing herself in West African musical culture.

For several years now, Ananta has also started to study West African music culture.

As a musician, composer and/or artistic director, she is often asked for various multidisciplinary productions and other projects.
Thus she has collaborated with Studio Eclipse, the Icelandic/Belgian group Mógil, Gotan Project, the Argentine guitarist and composer Henán Reinaudo... She has played with great bandoneon icons such as Luis Stazo, Alfredo Marcucci and Juan-José Mossalini.
She was co-founder and composer of the tango orchestra 'Guardia Cadenera', a ten-piece traditional tango orchestra that plays new music including her own. And she was also part of the tango string quartet 'Pavadita' (including collaborations with Thé Lau and the Kindred Spirit Ensemble for the North Sea Jazz Festival),
