Joris Vanvinckenroye is double bass player, composer and artistic coordinator of Cluster.
Together with his brothers, Joris Vanvinckenroye founded the folk/pop/rock formation Troissoeur in 1994 with which they conquered stages at home and abroad for 13-years. In 2020, after a 13-year break, the group restarted.
In 2002, he founded the acoustic, instrumental avant-folk group Aranis. Aranis quickly grew into a quirky chamber music group that was awarded the Youth and Music Prize for Chamber Music and the Klara Tandem Trophy in 2007.

Aranis released a total of 7 full albums between 2005 and 2017 earning several nominations and played concerts in Europe, Japan and the US.
In 2007 he started a solo project under the name BASta!² (double bass and live electronics including loop station).
