Triveni Trio takes you on a musical journey through the North, where the boundaries between dream and reality begin to blur. Triveni breathes the stillness of twilight, the transition from day into night and back again. Music that slows down, grows quiet and creates space for wonder – a countervoice in a world that never seems to stand still.

In 2021, accordionist and composer Barbara Eva Ardenois moved to Scandinavia and Finland for two years. Inspired by the vast landscapes and centuries-old oral traditions, she began weaving her lyrical playing style together with elements of Swedish pastoral music and Karelian kantele improvisation. This became the foundation for her solo project Triveni, named after the confluence of three rivers. Over time, Triveni evolved into a trio, bringing together like-minded musicians she met along the way: Ingrid Rodebjer (Sweden, violin/vocals) and Hanna Ryynänen (Finland, kantele).

During the release tour of Two Winters, One Midnight Sun – Nordic Landscapes (2025–2026), Triveni Trio invites you into their luminous sound world, where the resonant tones of the kantele, the rich melodies of accordion and violin, and the quiet power of nature come together. Barbara’s compositions are like moments of musical twilight, evoking that magical hour when the sun sets or the day begins to awaken.
